Why you'll fancy it: The PocketDAB 1000 reminds us of a PowerBook, with a simple brushed metal finish and minimalist styling. A large, blue backlit screen makes it easy to see the information supplied with digital radio broadcasts. On the downside, it has no alarm clock, no recording, no rechargeable batteries, and no FM radio -- which is tedious, as we sometimes struggled to get good DAB reception on the move.
