Sony's purple monolith stands apart by virtue of its Blu-ray disc drive, which lets you store up to 25GB of your precious data on a single disc. It runs the Media Center edition of Windows and has plenty of hard disk space for recording television programmes, but there's no guarantee it'll play prerecorded Blu-ray movie discs.
