Fantastic camera.
Only thing missing for me is the Aperture and Speed /Lock found on D3, F100, D2Xs, etc. Which is a boon when working in a studio under constant lighting conditions as ypu can inadvertantly move one of the wheels when your busy. But i can live with it as it is
a fabulous camera especially when married to a 18-200 VR 11 DX Lens.
Yes and VR works really well.
The camera is well balanced with this lens and it probably will be the only lens you will need with the D300.
The LCD screen is a joy with its high resolution and you can zoom as much as you want to if you want any further help you can E /Mail me at brichards *at* supanet.com
