Tip 2: The luxuries
So, you're not happy with the common-as-muck accessories and want to add a little bling to the already showy PSP? Luckily, there are plenty of companies willing to take your new handheld and spice it up.
Logitech PlayGear Amp
Who wants to use the ultra-quiet speakers that come as standard on the PSP, when the huge amp package on the PlayGear will wake up everyone else on the bus to work? Using four batteries, the speakers boost the PSP's audio while matching the console's sleek black armour. Four drivers provide more power, which is especially useful for movies, but we doubt you'd take this monster travelling, and if you're at home you'll probably just want to watch a film on TV instead.

Radica Car Station
PS2s and Xboxes in the back of the SUV was so last year. If you want to entertain yourself in the layby of the M1 after a hard drive, you should check out this device, which sticks the console to your window via the magical power of the suction cup. The advantage is that you can then power the console from your car's battery; the disadvantage is that it makes your new toy quite obvious to thieves.

Logic3 Solar Power Charger
Mains adaptors? Ha. We laugh in the face of such uneconomical power. The latest, eco-friendly way to play the world's coolest gadget is to power it from the sun, with a solar-powered pack that will also charge your Nintendo DS and GBA SP. Basically, it's a battery that takes around 4 hours to reach max capacity. Now all we're left to wonder is how cool it would have been to have the PSP solar-powered as standard.

baby phat PSP Case
Do you drive a souped-up Vauxhall Nova adorned by masses of jewellery and neon lighting? You'll love the ultimate PSP case -- if you could afford it, that is. Costing £20,000, the baby phat jewel-encrusted cover is the ultimate in geek chic, but there's no accounting for taste. Frankly, we'll stick with the Logitech PlayGear Pocket.
