Festival photos that rock!
Festivals aren't all music, dancing and drug addled self-discovery. For the photographer they represent one of the best opportunities to capture people behaving in ways they wouldn't dream of back in the mundane enclaves of their homes and offices.
Get close to your subjects

Launch yourself into the moment and get snapping. The closer you get, the more you'll be able to size up shots and the less you'll need to use a zoom lens. It's also a whole lot more exciting.
Just risk it and approach people without warning. Explain things later -- otherwise you'll miss the shot. Most people are more than happy to be photographed at a festival and if they're not, you can always apologise and move on. Despite our relentless snapping, everyone at Glastonbury was very happy to more or less ignore us.
In this shot we captured two festival-goers relaxing in the Stone Circle. The couple were oblivious to us despite the fact we hovered around them for a second or two. You'll find that most people at festivals are so absorbed in their own experiences that they won't notice you darting around with your camera, firing off shots. As long as you're quick, the shot is likely to stay natural.
