Festival photos that rock!
Festivals aren't all music, dancing and drug addled self-discovery. For the photographer they represent one of the best opportunities to capture people behaving in ways they wouldn't dream of back in the mundane enclaves of their homes and offices.
Observe and wait

Some of the best shots come about after lots of waiting around. Great equipment and a good eye is often not enough -- there are times when you'll need a good deal of patience. It took half an hour before anyone started exploring this flooded section of the campsite, but we waited on a hill and watched. Perseverance paid off and this pair came along in a canoe, navigating between submerged tents.
Before they arrived, we watched photographers from some national papers actively coaxing festival goers into swimming in the flooded camping ground so that they could get a decent shot for the front page. Sensibly no one agreed to go swimming in the flood -- a wise move, considering that the portaloos further up the hill had spilled raw sewage on to the flooded site.
Did we also mention not to leave your camera in your tent if it's not submersible?
