As we stagger off to CeBIT, weighed down by laptops, cameras, camcorders, cables and adaptors, I can't help feeling that Bill Gates is wrong about the disappearance of physical formats. Streaming data on demand might declutter our lives, but it's the kit that turns us on, not the bits.
