The technology year kicked off in Las Vegas with the International Consumer Electronics Show, or CES to its friends. CNET.co.uk's intrepid reporters scoured the show floor and scoped out the hero products: the Asus laptop that supports SideShow, Sony's
jewel-like OLED screens, Samsung's double-sided music phone, SanDisk's Wi-Fi-enabled music player and LG's dual-format next-gen disc player. And then there was Honda's Asimo, the humanoid robot that walked, and ran, and utterly delighted us.
