Why did you buy it?
To document my life, as I live it. It's bound to come in handy if I lose my short-term memory like that guy in Memento.
What does it do for you?
I can take photos of friends at parties and email them the results the next day. There's no faster route from drunken mistake to sober embarrassment. Previously I had to wait days before I could disturb them with photographs of their antics. Thanks to digital, regret and introspective nightmares are even easier to deliver.
Would you recommend it to others? Why?
Not particularly. It's a great camera, but I've used better. Most mid-range digital cameras are basically the same. Since I only email photos, I don't have a huge demand for high quality images. A low-resolution JPEG does me fine.
