WHY I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT MY
Sony Ericsson K700i
Why did you buy it?
I live on the leading edge of information supply and analysis -- I'm like a highly skilled fisherman, always plucking the finest fish from the largest ocean imaginable. But instead of fish, I deal in information, and instead of the ocean I fish in today's newspapers. When I'm plucking these fish I need something to contact base camp with: this phone keeps me in touch.
What does it do for you?
It lets me talk to my office when I'm out on the move, and it lets my boyfriend call me when he gets into sticky situations. Like the other day, he tore his trousers into pieces for a bar dare. Instead of having to take the Tube home naked, he gave me a call and I sent a taxi to pick him up.
Would you recommend it to others? Why?
Yes. Who can survive without a mobile phone in this fast-paced, non-stop urban chaos? If I didn't have a phone, I couldn't rearrange meetings and people couldn't rearrange things with me. I've been to dinners that involved 30 or 40 individual calls to arrange and rearrange times and places. Modern life is schizophrenic; the mobile phone is essential.
