WHY I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT MY
iPod video (60GB)
Why did you buy it?
I'm a big Apple fan. My first computer was the Apple Lisa and I bought the original 5GB iPod the day it came out. I also have a Power Mac G5 Quad, a Ti PowerBook, a first-generation iMac, and my son has a second-generation iMac.
What does it do for you?
I like its elegance of design and it's very easy to use. I use it primarily as a sales tool when introducing people to Thames Valley Pod TV. Trying to explain what a video podcast is can take some time, but the iPod helps me to demonstrate. You don't need a video iPod to watch my shows, but it's a convenient way of carrying the shows around and watching them on the go.
Would you recommend it to others? Why?
I would, if you want to consume video-based content on the move. You could use the Sony PSP, but that's huge in comparison and it's not as convenient. You can also plug your iPod in to your TV and play video on the full screen.Name

If you could design and create your ultimate product, what would it be?
I wish I'd designed the iPod -- it's an example of great product design.
What tech insider secret do you find most useful?
I've created a music network at home using iTunes and Airport Express. This means I can play music on either the hi-fi in the lounge or the hi-fi in my bedroom -- or both at the same time!
