You've finally made your move and dumped your bulky tube television for a sleek new flat-panel LCD set. The trouble is, as with most televisions, LCDs are preconfigured to look good on the sales floor of the electronics shops where you usually buy them, not in your living room. These default settings are usually far too bright and garish to accurately represent real life.
